I had no expectations for this beer. Light beers usually suck, but this was part of the "shades of pale" mix pack, so what the hell.
Pours a pale golden color with a surprisingly copious head.
Aroma is faintly reminiscent of some pale lagery style, but not quite. So far it's what I expected. Fairly clean, without any fruitiness. Mild hopping, fairly lackluster.
Flavor is a bit more powerful and richer than I had expected, so that's definitely good. Mildly lagery, with a bit of estery fruitiness and top fermented goodness. Flavor dimishes quickly, leaving no aftertaste. Carbonation is high, which compliments the light body and crispness of the flavor. I'm surprised that Middle Ages makes a light beer, unless it means pale color, but they did a damn good job with it. Completely exceeded my expectations, yet still my least favorite from these folks.

The beer pours a pale gold color with blotchy traces of lacing. The smell, like all their beers, is of Ringwood yeast. There seems to be no other aroma here. The taste is horrible. I mean I can put it down, but there is nothing to speak of. The beer seems watered down and very plain. I understand that it is supposed to be a light beer, but I've tasted plenty of light beers that I like tons more than this. The mouthfeel doesn't impress me either. I'm trying to swallow, but there seems to be something lingering as it goes down; maybe that hint of malts just trying to hang on. Overall, it's drinkable, but certainly not by me.

Pored a nice gold with some white head...
Smell was almost totally citrusy hoppy...
Taste was a light malt but more of the citrusy hop flavor...
Mouthfeel was a little thin...
I would not drink many of these...
Overall not one of the good ones from Middle Ages...

Pale yellow colored-beer. Thin head that gives quickly. The aroma is pretty interesting. Lemon and spices... even some wheat... buttery, too! The more you whiff it, the more you get out of it. Decent taste. Nothing spectacular, but pretty good. Crisp and a little bitter on the tongue. A good summer brew, though.

Pours a cloudy light straw in color with a airy ivory head that fades to a decent layer.
The aroma has a sweet hint, malty back, and a slight sharpness there too.
Very grainy taste. Not much else is jumping out at me. Slight bitterness with a salty edge. Dry finish.
Average carbonation and light body. It wasn't an easy drinker for me. I was dissapointed in this one, but what would you expect from a light beer. IMO the micros should just stop trying to fit in to this market.

Pours a hazy dark golden color with a creamy white head that loves to stick to the sides of the glass. Nose is sweet malts and grains and is quite similar to a newly opened box of Cheerios. Light in body and very refreshing. Taste starts out sweet with some fruity notes of citrus followed by mildly bitter hops leading to a very crisp finish. A nice summertime brew that Im sure would be fairly popular here in Texas if it were available. Thanks to Denali and stegmakk for the sample!
