Five Seasons Prado

Tall mug served at the brewpub. Excellent presentation, with a deep amber body animated by fine carbonation and covered by a bone-colored, dense head. Very good lacing. Well crafted but, being true to style, neither innovative not complex. Well balanced and a bit more malty than usual. Good with food.

Appearance: Pours a clear, copper body with a small, fine, white head.

Smell: Sweetish, toasty biscuit nose with a slight, underlying fruit character.

Taste: Toasty biscuit malts start things off, then a sugary light caramel taste enters with a Red Delicious apple fruitiness. Light floral, spicy hops and bitterness. Still, it finishes relatively sweet with a lingering yeastiness.

Mouthfeel: Just barely medium-bodied. Medium-low carbonation. Somewhat sticky mouthfeel.

Drinkability: A pleasant light beer, it would be great in great quantities.

Pours a dark honey-golden with a nice thick head. Aroma is quite strong and all malty. Flavor is rich and malty with a strong hint of spices. This ale is very smooth and pleasant, and the aftertaste is jazzy with a hint of hops. Just another great brew from the 5 Seasons Brewpub in Sandy Springs.

Had on tap at Prado location, had to review given the quality.
This was a tight october style beer, perfect.

A: Amber color, autumn appearance. Head and lacing hung on throughout the beer.

S: Smells were pure oak and nutmeg combination. Great job on this beer's aroma- what a fest beer should be.

T: Matched the aroma. Malt presence was clear and added such a nice touch to this beer.

T: So smooth for an octoberfest. Enough there to keep the flavor strong throughout but not overpowering. The spices were there but did not kick up any overdone attitude.

M: What it should be, thats all there is too- perfect carbonation.

D: Remarkably drinkable. Dont know ABV but it works- could have well enjoyed several more.

Perfectly went down with the salmon flatbread pizza. Very impressed.

Dark cherry stain body with a large stiff foam head that takes a while to settle. Something in the aroma is making me thing of sand. My guess is the pilsen malt, which tastes kind of sandy to me, comes through in the aroma more than the flavor. Lots of malt here. The body is sweet, big malt, wood. In the cask conditioned version, the hops come up a little bit (not noticeable in the normal version) and the carbonation increases. There's a slight hint of lemon in the finish. Good beer and easily drinkable.
