"A blend of hard apple cider and ESB with the addition of a variety of fabulous spices frequently found in mom's apple pie. The caramel malt of the ESB pairs beautifully with the tart crispness of the cider."
Appearance: Issues forth a hazed, amber-gold body with a thin, bubbly, close enough to white we'll call it white head.
Smell: Toasted bread crumbs, cinnamon sticks, clove, powdered ginger, and basic sugar tossed together with lightly tart apple juice that's hinting at a little bit of underlying funkiness that, for me, didn't carry over into the taste.
Taste: A taste of toast, a sip of sweetish cider, and spicy hints of cinnamon, maybe even a bit of ginger. Comes together like a liquid blend of Apple Jacks and Cinnamon Toast Crunch. No apparent hop character, bitterness. Lightly tart, juicy, spicy finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium-low carbonation.
Overall: Like their bacon beer for the ACAT back in 2011, it's an interesting brew. You may or may not like it, but you got give it that at least.
