The Superfruit IPA uses a light malt bill and plenty of late-addition hops to achieve a beer that is naturally fruity with mild bitterness. The beer is then infused with mango and passion fruit to give it a distinctly fruity aroma and flavour.

Hazy copper with a soapy head and cap. Sweet fruity hop nose. Medium malt body with some bittering hops to finish. Smooth mouthfeel, well-balanced.

500ml can poured into tulip.

Pours a hazy deep orange with one finger of beige head that leaves thick curtains of mountain waterfall lace as it recedes.

Smells of caramel tarts, sliced mango and orange, pineapple, lemon zest, pine resin and muddled citrus rind.

Tastes of lemonade, more bready caramel malt, more mango, orange and pineapple, and more citrusy, piney hops.

Feels solid and hefty. Medium bodied with zippy carbonation. Finishes dry.

Verdict: Vigorously recommended. Like an extra-fruity version of Red Racer, which is a superb IPA if you haven't tried it yet.

Just brought home this beer today from my store. I'm a big fan of Red Racer's IPA and love IPAs with a nice bite of fruit in them, so I was really looking forward to this one.

Pours a hazy, dark orange with a nice firm head. The smell is really quite faint. I'm making out a light citrus smell, but nothing too exciting. The taste is excellent though. True to its name, you get a hearty dose of citrus fruits and mango on your first sip. The very substantial hop kick that is typical of Central City's IPA is present here as well. Moderate carbonation with a clean finish. So long as you can handle your hops, this is a must-try.

330ml bottle, day 5 of 'The Great White Wonder Adventure Pack', a collaboration between Central City and Parallel 49 to provide a Beer Advent (I can say that, even if they can't) holiday experience. Made with mango and passion fruit juice.

This beer pours a hazy, bright medium apricot amber colour, with two fingers of puffy, rocky, and faintly fizzy off-white head, which leaves a bit of random soapscum lace around the glass as it quickly blows off.

It smells of bready and doughy caramel malt, muddled tropical fruit, plain Pez candies, and some earthy, leafy, and piney green hop bitters. The taste is semi-sweet, grainy and bready caramel malt, a bit of rising yeast, mango lassi, further exotic fruity notes, wet stone paths after the rain, and more zingy leafy, grassy, and piney verdant hoppiness.

The carbonation is quite understated in its wan-seeming frothiness, the body a solid middleweight, and generally smooth, as the hops here are rather benevolent in that respect. It finishes off-dry, the sturdy malt still parrying the lingering hop bitterness, with the aid of the adjunct fruit characters.

Overall - this is a pleasant and well-made IPA, presumably their SuperStellar (or whatever it's called), amped up on trendy fruit juice. It all works, in that the heady base brew isn't overwhelmed by the guest ingredients. Good stuff.
