This beer pours a dark, murkey orange-brown color. The head is slight and wispy. Nice aroma...not at all what I expected...it's got a very American style smell, complete with a big hop nose, lots of citrus (grapefruit, orange, lemon), and grass. This is a beer that (in the aroma at least) focuses on hops. The taste is a bit different. A bit more carbonated than other beers from this brewery, the beer is sweet and malty. There's a decidedly pale and lightly-roasted malt flavor, low use of specialty grains, and a nice hop flavor that lingers through the beer. As the beer warms, more of a bready, yeasty, malt aroma comes forth. Also, the yeast plays a pronounced role in the flavor, present into the finish. It's a lager, but the beer has considerable ale-like qualities (I have noticed similar qualities with other beers from this brewery...high temps with lager yeast?). All in all, the beer is fairly well balanced. It's a bit sweeter than is necessary, but is not a bad beer.

Beautiful foam, creamy and compact. Good orange color, slightly hazy. Beautiful appearance.
Soft smell, with vanilla, cream. Floreal notes, of camomile. And light fruity notes, of apricot.
The taste is a bit more loaded, sweetie, fruity, with again vanilla, a lot of apricot, and some honey. Pleasant, after all.
Maybe a light spiciness, more noticeable in the aftertaste.
Not bad, after all.
