On-tap at the brewpub.
Pours a dark brown color with a one-finger tan head. The head recedes into a wispy layer on top leaving solid lacing.
Smells of robust pine and floral hops backed by mild amounts of pale malts and heavier amounts of black malts.
Tastes similar to how it smells. Nondescript pale malt flavors and smooth black malts with hints of roastiness kick things off. Joining in shortly thereafter are large amounts of pine hop flavors. The hops carry through to a solidly bitter ending. As the beer warms hints of citrus hop flavors work their way into things as well.
Mouthfeel is good. It's got a nice thickness with solid carbonation.
Drinkability is very good. I had no problems finishing my glass and could easily have another.
Overall this is hands down the best beer I've had from this place. It looks as though this used to be a highly-hopped porter or stout but at this point it is listed as an IPA in the brewpub and seems more of a Cascadian Dark. Well worth a shot.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
