Had this beer from cask 6/7 at the ale house. I believe it is their standard oatmeal stout aged in oak whiskey barrels infused with blackberries.
Black in color, very little bubbles from the cask but a small cream head is left. Aroma is of roasted malt, chocoloate and coffee covered blackberries, as well as some oak and whiskey. Very complex in flavor for being a lighter alcohol beer. Very much similar to the nose, predominant chocoloate covered blackberries and a faint whiskey oakiness on the finish. Lighter in body, but I enjoyed that because it made it nice and refreshing on a warm afternoon. Very nice beer overall and hope they do this again.
