Ordered this from the cask at Barley's Smokehouse No. 1 under the name Ivanilla Porter. Served in a pint glass at room temperature. Poured a coal black color with a rocky off-white head. Smells a bit single note, dominated by coffee. Tastes mostly of the coffee, too. A touch of the vanilla came out only toward the end, perhaps as the beer warmed. Dark bitterness in the finish. Mouthfeel is disappointingly watery for a porter - seems it could be much thicker. Overall, a good experiment, but it goes down too loose and easy for a porter. No real complexity of character.
