This was the cask selection available on my latest trip to Columbus & Barley's. This is advertised an an all organic brew.
From their website: "An organic strong ale to celebrate our fifteenth anniversary. Strong and malty with enough hops to let you evaluate the ability of hop farmers to do put their best foot forward without pesticides or herbicides. We use malt and hops from around our globe. New Zealand Hallertau hops give this beer a floral, citrusy character similar to American Cascade.
Rotation Schedule: First tapping at Barley's Fifteenth Anniversary celebration on November 15, 2007."
Served in a tulip/snifter glass. Dark and hazy, amber orange in color, just a thin ring of whitish foam. Smell has a fruity hoppiness to it, with a little bit of alcohol burn. Taste is a nice mix of earthy malt and some grassy hop. Low carbonation makes the mouthfeel creamy and smooth. Slightly bitter resin finish. Went very well with my chili on a chilly afternoon.

On draught at Barleys during the 15th Anniversary party, served in a snifter. Pours a murky reddish-amber color with a medium thin and foamy off-white head that burns off slowly. Stringy lacing. Pungeant aroma of earthy malt, spices and fruit. Full-bodied with an array of flavors from juicy hops and tart fruit to sweet malt and spices. The finish is resiny hops with a lingering bitterness. Overall this is a worthy effort for an Organic Strong Ale from Barleys.

Darn, beat me to it. I was hoping I might be the first to add this beer!
Pours a dark amber color into a nice size tulip glass with very little visibility. Almost no head when brought to the table. Smell is grape, and raisin aroma with a sweet malt. Taste is malty with a smooth earthy grassy hop. Mouthfeeling is creamy with a bittering aftertaste. No carbonation and a nice slight warming alcohol presence.

This beer poured a murky dark brown amber color and formed a off white foamy head that coated the glass with lace as it subsided. An aroma of malt, hops and caramel. The flavor was of malt, hops, caramel and toffee. It has a medium body and a slightly sweet yet bitter finish. A nice first try at a organic beer to celebrate their 15th year.
