Poured from the nitro tap into a standard pint glass at the smokehouse.
Appearance- Beer pours a dark black with slight red ridges around the sides. A creamy one finger head settles over the top with a tan shade. Lacing does not stick to the sides.
Smell- I thought it wsa in my head when I smelled it first, but this beer actually has a strong scent of granola! Brown sugar, caramel, Werther's original, hot buttered popcorn, needless to say, this smells good.
Taste- Sweet, light, big granola with oats and cream, silk chocolate with caramelized grains. This is the only granola oatmeal stout I've had, but it is also the best. Oatmeal is rich and creamy, maple brown sugar style, even buttery.
Mouthfeel- Creamy, smooth, medium full bodied, lightly carbonated, very creamy, like I just licked Bessie's udder!
Drinkability- I was just about to get a growler of this. Very drinkable stuff, I may get one in the future.

On draught at the Smokehouse. I think I like this one a little better than Ol' Ron's. Pours a pretty blackish-brown with a thick dark beige head. Decent lacing through the whole glass. The aroma is malt, along with a little chocolate and hops. Rich body, with a nice grainy/nutty flavor. You can also taste malt, coffee, chocolate and raisins. The finish is smooth and a little more carbonated than a lot of Oatmeal Stouts. I like this one quite a bit.

Okay, this beer is the sister to it Ale House No. 1 Old Ron. It like that, has varied from year to year. This poured a nice very dark brown, almost black color. It formed a slight light tan head that left little lace. It had an aroma of hops and malt with some elements of chocolate. Has a nice flavor of malt and slight chocolate to it. Lighter body then some others or even their own previous years. Good beer.
