Thanks to hopdog for sharing this at a tasting...
Appears a dark brown with a fluffy, light beige head that slowly fades. Scattered bits of lacing are left around the glass.
Smell is of candy, caramel, sugar, nuts, mocha, and espresso.
Taste is of mocha, ripe dark fruit, roasted barley, toasted nuts, and creamy sugar.
Mouthfeel is medium-full bodied, mildly carbonated, with a bakers chocolate semi-dry finish.

Draft at MRAF 2009.
Pours black color with a moderater frothy brown head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Heavy toasted dark chocolate and caramel aroma. Medium to full body with a thick smooth texture and flat carbonation. Heavy dark chocolate bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of long duration.
This is a standout porter.

Growler acquired in trade with goryshkewych (thanks!).
Poured a dark brown color with a larger sized off white head. Lots of nice lacing left on the glass. Aromas of roastiness, caramel, some nuttiness, and coffee. Tastes of chocolate, dark fruitiness, lighter roastiness, and dark fruits. Wow, 11%, never would have guessed.
