Behjun Noel is an amber/copper color. It’s clear for the most part, and looks a little crimson when held to light. A soft, off-white head covers the top. It’s modest and stands just under a finger tall. It recedes quickly, leaving a very light, spotty coat of lace behind.

The nose is good. It kicks off with a nice, sweet malty scent. Belgian yeast is easily noted and adds a nice spicy scent to the mix. Clove and pepper are most notable. Some holiday spices are also apparent. Cinnamon and ginger seem to complement the spicy yeast well. Much better than I anticipated actually. Alcohol is slightly noticeable, but doesn’t come through strong.

The flavor is quite good. I like it. Belgian yeast kicks things off and tastes delicious. It is spicy. Clove and pepper flavors resonate throughout each sip. Holiday spices take a backseat, but really play their complementary role well. Light cinnamon and ginger aren’t all that strong, but that formula works very well. It is malty, a little sweet, and sugary. Alcohol is light and doesn’t seem all that strong. Finishes with a mix of spicy notes and sweet malty flavors. Very nice.

The body is medium. Frankly, it feels just a tad thin. It’s not bad, but it won’t be confused with an authentic Belgian. Carbonation is light and the bubbles feel quite soft. It goes down very easy and smooth. I won’t finish off the growler tonight, but it’s tempting. It is that inviting.

Barley’s did a really nice job with Behjun Noel. I didn’t know exactly what to expect. It’s a rather straight forward holiday ale brewed with Belgian yeast. The formula works very well. Belgian yeast and holiday spices are a nice combo. If you have a chance to check this one out, you should. A growler is well worth the purchase.

In the light it has a Red and cloudy appearance, outside of the light it has more of an Amber color. Head is small, but it maintains about an eight of an inch throughout. Nice lacing.

It's hard to puck up what on smelling, but I guess its malty? Some definite spices, but not sure which ones.

Strong malty and spicy taste.

Mouthfeel is smooth, cannot taste the 7.5%apv.

Overall get it while you can and grab a growler
