Poured a darker gold, like a pilsener, with a small head. Not at all what you'd expect from the style.
Smells like underbrewed malt. That's it. Soap and harsh fruit and seltzer water.
Tastes like it smells, only with a tiny kick of bock malt in the back to try and save everything. Soap starts it out, which moves into a more bitter soap, and ends on a light marzen malt.
Unimpressive, to say the least. I usually expect more out of Old Capitol.

I was quite impressed by this Oktoberfest. One of the better O'fests I've tried this year, and brewed only a few blocks away.
The beer pours to the typical rusty amber color with a nice fluffy white head. Doesn't leave any lacing. Still well carbonated even though this is reviewed from a growler.
The smell is of caramelized munich malts. A bit of a spicy noble hop on the nose, but mostly malty.
The taste is sweet with biscuity caramelized malts. Still nice and hoppy in the finish. Quite refreshing.
The mouthfeel is a bit light. Very smooth with a medium body and a light creaminess. Has a bit of a bite from spicy hops and carbonation. Drinkability is huge though. Went through the whole growler with no problem.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
