A familiar style made popular by microbreweries all over the U.S. Like their German cousins, American wheat beers feature large proportions of malted wheat in the grain bill and are naturally cloudy in appearance. Unlike German Weizenbiers, though, American wheat beers have a bit more hop character and are fermented with milder tasting yeast, resulting in a more clean, natural finish. Our Wheat is unfiltered and one of our more popular beers.

Asked for their wheat. originally thought i got a mis-pour from the wrong tap as it didn't seem to resemble a wheat beer at all. Didn't have the heart to ask "Is this your wheat?". Didn't feel like insulting anyone at the time and from the previous servings i assume this is it. i know she heard me say wheat as she repeated it to me directly after to confirm my choice so i will continue with the review
Appearance: crystal clear and pale with a thin layer of sudsy white head which settled to nothing quickly. Looks like any other American macro lager, which kinda threw me for a loop since i was expecting a slightly hazy American wheat ale. moving on
Smell: i dont really know. sweet cooked grain, corn husks, cant really detect a wheat spiciness. weird.
taste: Tastes like 3/4 miller high life and 1/4 boulevard wheat. Cant really say i am impressed. But if taken out of context, i rather refreshing lawnmower beer.
Mouthfeel: thin, watery, plain. OK
Drinkability: easily finished the glass. easy on the palate as its light and cold. again, a nice lawnmower beer but a good example of a wheat beer it is not.

Slightly hazy, yellow in hue, frothy white head, at the apex the bubbles were three fingers tall which steadily faded to a soapy cap. After a few more moments the head completely disappeared. There was no subsequent lacing. Even with the flaws the appearance is fitting for the style, nevertheless.
The nose has the same sort of odd aromas the Bock had, it doesnt smell like malt (grain) and it doesnt smell like extract or wheat either. I cant really figure out what I smell. It is closer to offensive than it is pleasant which is sad because there really isnt anything to describe in the nose. Moderate potency; not inviting.
Sweet lemony palate upfront, at know point is it wheaty and it is not malty either. I dont detect an ounce of hops or yeast influences. I see no direction and no point in this beer. It is simply a mess. The more I sipped it the sharper the finish became, yuck. This is lousy.
Medium-light in body, low carbonation, the mouthfeel is fitting for the style.
In summary, this beer is not likeable, it is not drinkable, and it is surely not recommended. I wish I had more to say I did finish my pint but quickly washed down with copious amounts of water. Skip it.
