This was a rather average oatmeal stout. Appearance was rather nice: opaque black with a two-fingered light tan head - exactly what I'd expect from an oatmeal stout. I couldn't pick up much of an aroma for some reason - burnt malt, coffee. Mouthfeel was extremely heavy and rather syrupy. Very smooth. The taste, while within the norms of an oatmeal, were not very forthcoming and were rather muted. Toasted malts, coffee, some chocolate and a light hop bitterness. Did not leave much of an aftertaste either. A little disappointing, but not a bad try either.

This brew pours a dark, opaque black with a tan head that dissapears in no time, leaving nothing in terms of lace. A copper aroma fills the nose. Not to sure what that is. The first sip was blah, not very good a copper taste with no coffee flavor or oats flavor what so ever. I am not really sure what this is, I really enjoy an Oatmeal Stout and this is not what I am used to. Another beer recipe that needs to be worked on a little more.
