Sticky pine hop nose. Clear orange amber. White head. Perfume nose. Sweer flavor. Perfume influenced. Grass is in there as well. Seems a little unbalanced. Feel is with a good carbonation and a decent enough liquid tone. Too sticky though. Overall an okay DIPA. Seems a bit green.

Those certainly are Summit hops, and while they're tasty and can carry a smaller beer by themselves, I want more out of a DIPA. Really, it is quite tasty with a crisp mix of citrus and pepper. The juicy citrus provide a background taste for the lighter more subtle hops notes. The malt mostly provides balance without and real flavor, but I could go for some more bitterness in this DIPA.

Appearance: clear orange in color with a 3" head that lasts forever. Thick lacing paints the glass.

Smell: huge malt sweetness, citrus, and bitterness are all easily detectable by the nose.

Taste: this is not a DIPA for the timid. Summit hops bring out a strong bitterness here. Nice malt profile balances out the strong bitterness, and some orange citrus and hints of alcohol rounds it out.

Mouthfeel: smooth from the start, dry and smooth at the finish. Bitterness lasts long into the aftertaste. Heavy in body.

Drinkability: despite the biggness of this beer I found it to be quite drinkable.Your tongue feels like you licked a rug (think dryness here) after two pints of this stuff, but this is a beer you should try while it is available. One of the best beer I have had at NH over the years.
