Served at Elysian's Great Pumpkin Beer Festival. Apparently they had both the 09 and the 10, I don't know which one this was. They had it last year and I remember it being good, very slightly sour with the pumpkin coming through pretty well.
This year it was served with Elysian-made Pumpkin syrup in a new berliner weiss tradition.
It was quite golden before the pumpkin syrup made it a light brown and chunky liquid pie.
Smelled and tasted pumpkin sweet and slightly sour, really a fantastic combo of the beer and the syrup. Not exceptionally complex but extremely drinkable and an absolute delight. Nice work team..
