Kiev 5/10 2018. 50 cl from draft at Ukraine Hotel in central Kiev.
Pours clear pale yellow with medium-sized White head. Settles as thin layer of foam barely covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is rather sweet. Sweet malts, honey, grains with a sugary touch.
Light carbonation. Thin, watery and lightly lively texture.
Flavor is sweet followed by very light bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet. Fairly short.
Fairly standard Eastern European brew. Way too sweet and fairly unpleasant.

16.9 oz bottle was poured into a pint glass.
Appearance: This beer poured a one finger head that reduced to a thin layer. It is a pale yellow with great clarity and vision of slow moving bubbles coming up through the glass. Spotty lacing on the glass as the beer was drank.
Smell: Bready and sweet pilsner malts, typically lager yeast Euro skunk, and some grassy and spicy hops. Everything is overshadowed by the yeast aroma.
Taste: This beer has the traditional European bite.
Mouthfeel: A bit chewy, crisp, refreshing, a little dry, high carbonation, and light bodied.
Overall: More pilsner than lager. Very traditional and similar to most European pale lager. With low expectations, this beer was alright. It's not that common that you see a beer from the Ukraine too.

A: Pours slightly hazy pale golden yellow with light visible carbonation. The beer has a finger tall foamy white head with pretty good retention - there is a layer of bubbles across the entire top of the beer throughout. Significant lacing is observed.
S: Lots of grains and corn with some bready malts.
T: Slightly sweet with lots of bready malts, hints of corn and grain.
M: Medium bodied with moderate to high amounts of carbonation. Slightly chewy.
O: Not a great beer and not a horrible beer, this one is pretty average. Easy to drink and could be a good session beer if this is one of the flavor profiles you enjoy. I think that I'm happy to have sampled it but I don't want to drink multiple in a sitting.
