Poured from bottle, the body is an opaque brown with white head. Good lacing.
Aroma has a lightly sweet malty note.
Taste follows nose as the malt bill carries the load. In the background are wafts of spices: clove and perhaps a wee trace of cinnamon. Just enough flavor to expand on the malt. At finish, a small bit of earthy hop.
Mouthfeel is light and carbonation good.
Easy drinking dark lager.

Christmas edition...wow, let's try. Best drink it before Santa comes. After a Murphy's Irish Stout.
Quite bubbly, black and fairly thin looking, but I like the colour. I really like the aroma, much more complex than the coffee-focussed Murphy's that I just drank. Cloves, subtle chocolate, licorice.
Taste is fairly thin and light. A very easy drinking dark beer. Slightly straw-like flavour that is common in Ukrainian beers (apparently trans-2-nonenal from oxidation). Flavour is a bit subtle and mouth feel is pretty thin. Great value but not amazing. I quite like the hops in the aftertaste.
So just how christmassy is it? Maybe a little bit, supposedly it contains some "christmas spices". So yes, I taste a little bit of a mince pie or Christmas pudding taste. So yet, maybe ; )
