On-draught at the White Lion in Lviv. Cost was ~20 UAH per 500ml.
Banana, fresh wheat. Clean drinking and crisp, with a soft underside beneath the high carbonation. Refreshing and approachable, with vitaminy yeast and proper attenuation for the style. Balanced and enjoyable.
Definitely true to the witbier style, and absolutely a beer I'd get again. A steal at this price.

Lvivskie White Lion has a medium, white head, a semi-clear, highly bubbly, straw-gray-yellow appearance, which will display a descending gray-orange cloud, once the bottom sediment is swished loose and poured in. The aroma is of banana, white bread, and faint coriander. Taste is of banana cream pie, sugar, white bread, white bread crust, bubble gum, and coriander. Mouthfeel is medium and soft, and Lvivskie White Lion finishes semi-wet and smooth.

I'm a fan of unfiltered wheat beers (hefeweizens). To me, this is the best bottled hefeweizen beer in the world. It tastes just like the hefeweizen at Gordon Biersch. I've tried many wheat beers from all over the world, and this one truly is the best. L'viv, Ukraine is known for making really good beer & chocolate. Even Germans go there for the beer.

16.9 oz bottle was poured into a large tulip glass.
Appearance: This beer poured a one finger head that reduced to a thin ring. It is a hazy pale yellow with some clarity and vision of bubbles coming up through the glass.
Smell: Wheaty bready and sweet noted, some banana, some clove, and faint hints of noble hops.
Taste: Light wheat, banana, and clove with mild noble hop bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Smooth, light bodied, low to medium carbonation, chewy, and refreshing.
Overall: Pretty tasty light hefe. Bargain price and I'll grab another at Apex in Lexington next time through. These would be awesome for the summer time.
