"Introduced at our first Octoberfest celebration, this German style lager uses a unique five-malt combination. It is finished with Saaz hops. The result is a beer that is slightly darker and bolder than our second Octoberfest offering, Vienna lager. The alcohol content is 4.5%."

Merrill Marzen is Mia & Pias Oktoberfest brew though its not necessarily offered each fall. Like M&Ps other lagers, Merrill has a dense, creamy white sunken head, and a curiously appealing taste. It is deep golden amber, hazy, and has a light, spicy aroma. Stratified lace forms far down the glass.
Despite its high carbonation, Merrill Marzen delivers a well-rounded mouthfeel and its body is far from fizzy. The taste is built upon a caramel base and hints slightly at orange citrus.
