Head brewer Rod Kucera is a former pro bull rider and Rod dedicates this beer “to the men and women who rodeo across the nation.” It would seem that all those hard knocks on the rodeo circuit require a beer counterbalanced by smooth mellowness.

Rodeo Red (I sure like the name) is deep garnet-mahogany and is modestly carbonated with less head or lace than M&P’s other beers. It has a light fruity nose, a polished mouthfeel, and a respectable bitter-on-malt profile.

This beer is a local favorite among rodeo devotees and others. It is billed as “a ton of muscle with attitude.” I certainly won’t argue with that.
