The label says the beer should be drunk before december 2005, but it also says that you can get two glasses if you mail in 60 francs. Hum, we don't have francs since 2002...
The beer poured a nice downy mattress of foam on a pure and hazy bright orange color body. The smell is strongly citric and wheaty with light notes of yeast. Quite enjoyable. The taste shows the same features as the smell but in a rougher and less pleasing manner. The wheat aspect becomes overwhelming and almost annoying, combined with a straw-woody note that I didn't really like. A bit like sucking on some dry straw. Still, a fruity character that's pleasing. The mouthfeel is ok, sweet and refreshing, not excessively watery, with a little bit of consistence, but it ain't the greatest beer in the world either. Not a bad beer, but one glass will be enough.
This brewery's only beer is sold as "the wheat beer", as if it were something exceptional. Is that why they wanted to give it an over the top wheat taste? not a good choice in my opinion...

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
