FFS how could some one class this as a pale ale
it states clearly wheat beer like the German style
even so it fails on both descriptives as it is a chestnut brown
like a classic brown ale
rich it is the body the head soon disappeared to wisps of creme caramel clouds.
An aroma of brown sugar, hints of brewers mash and a malty biscuity scent too but its all very lacking oomph.
Nice malts in the flavour, something has been roasted here not only in the look but the taste the malty traditional wheat beer is kind of there mixed with coffee regular in the fore taste but the sour Sasparilla/root beer like after taste is absent replaced with a bitterish hoppy infection.
Nice carbonation and great thick mouthfeel create a highly unusual beer that I can't quite decide on
Very different give it a try and let me know.

This isn't actually a English Pale Ale, but it's the closest match in the style menu here. On the label this is referred to as a "wheat beer" and was the Great Britain Wheat Beer Champion in 1997.
Appearance: light brown, OK clarity, meager layer of off-white foam that quickly dissipates
Aroma: malt, prunes, plain yoghurt
Flavor: hard to get a real sense of the taste because this sample is quite sour (I'm guessing it's contaminated), but there are threads of dark malt, bready wheat, and brown sugar
Mouthfeel: medium body, light carbonation, soft texture
Other comments: If I get around to it, I'll try to review another bottle of this because this wasn't a good sample.
