330ml bottle from Fenwick, Newastle (£3.49):
This one was a very strong beer from the outset & one that was loaded with peated malts, smoky flavours & some wood which all gave the beer a whiskey feel to it in the early going. The alcohol that came through seemed overdone & made the beer seem a lot stronger than the 8.8% advertised on the bottle, it was also a bit of a struggle to finish too, although the surprising addition of some mint to the nose & taste was quite enjoyable but other than that the beer seemed poorly balanced & was a relatively poor imperial stout sadly.

A Vegan friendly slaughterhouse stout?????
Pours a black body with cappuccino coloured froth with a head that lasts
Smells like Pimms
Quite sweet with a taste that is not unlike traditional blackcurrant liquorice sweets
Just seems a little thin on the mouthfeel
Cuupled with the quite sweet taste it didn't seem as boozy or solid as I was expecting or hoping for
