Collaboration with DEYA Brewing Company
SABRO ORANGE WIT... A mixed fermentation wit beer infused with fresh oranges, a sprinkle of crushed coriander and double dry hopped with SABRO. Brewed together with the Cheltenham Champs themselves... DEYA! Blooming with soft peachy esters and classic witbier phenols with subtle harmonised flourishes of zingy orange, coconut, lime and pepper.

Pours a mostly clear golden coloration with a small, fizzy head. Smells of doughy malt, orange zest, coconut and lime, with just a hint of mint as well. Taste follows the nose, with some doughy, slightly grainy malt and strong notes of orange zest, coconut and mint, as well as just a hint of lime, green apple, coriander and black pepper. Finishes with a light bitterness and tartness and some orange zest, coconut and mint lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
A fascinating beer due to the single-hopping with Sabro hops, which bring unique notes of coconut and mint to this Wit. While it may not exactly be traditional, I still feel that it works out quite well, even though I could perhaps do without that strong coconut character, which still integrates itself well enough here. The great balance of orange zest and spicy/herbal notes keeps this together rather nicely, with the coconut providing an interesting additional facet.
