Pours a hazy, deep golden, orange coloration with a medium, frothy head. Smells of light biscuity malt zesty and juicy orange notes and hust a hint of white grape and gooseberry. Taste is a great balance of light biscuity malt and a distinct, zesty and quite juicy orange juice character, with lighter tropical notes of mango and passion fruit, as well as a good dose of somewhat tangy white grape and gooseberry, with just a hint of black pepper as well. Finishes with a light/medium bitterness and some orange juicy, white grape and pepper lingering in the aftertaste. Soft mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
Hopped with all my favorite Australian/New Zealand hops, this did not disappoint, with a very juicy OJ character pepped up with those typical, tangy white grape and gooseberry notes, as well as some black pepper coming through in the aftertaste, fantastic stuff.
