Fruit IPA... Using our classic IPA formula as a foundation with a late house yeast generation bringing out all the ripe stone fruit esters we added fresh pineapple, papaya and passion fruit alongside IDAHO 7 and BRU 1 to this IPA. Naturally soured using the fruit with all the freshness we could squeeze out to boot!

Shared can at local tasting. I have ordered another can from Vinmonopolet Nettbutikken, will re-rate then. Pale golden colour, small white head. Weird fruity and spicy aroma, nice in its own perverted way. Spicy, fruity and sour flavour.

Pours a turbid orange coloration with a small, foamy head and lots of chunky floaters. Smells like a tropical fruit punch, with the tangy passion fruit dominanting and lighter notes of papaya and pineapple, with no malt presence detectable. Taste follows the nose, with with no malt presence detectable and the tangy, lightly acidic passion fruit dominating the flavor profile, with lighter, but still quite distinguishable papaya and pineapple notes as well. Finishes with no bitterness, a light/medium acidity and plenty of tropical notes lingering in the aftertaste. Full mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.

While this smells and tastes almost more like a fruit punch than a beer, I suppose that is kind of the point and it achieves that flavor profile beautifully, with distinct, vibrant, juicy tropical fruit notes that feel quite tangy and somewhat acidic, only a light sweetness and no bitterness coming through, with pretty much no detectable malt presence. Think of this kind of "beer" what you will, but it's very well done here, perhaps too well. If you gave this to someone and told them it was fruit juice, not in a million years would they realize they are drinking a 7.1% ABV beer.
