Collaboration with Barrier Brewing Company
Our collab with NY State Oceanside Barrier Brewing Co. It's a big fluffy DIPA what weighs in at 8.2% . Plump, fat and ripe it delivers huge crushed fruity esters with the addition of Citra, Chinook, Columbus, Bru 1 and Mosaic.

Pours a hazy, golden coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of biscuity malt and tropical hops, with lighter citrus accents and just a hint of grassy dankness. Taste is a good balance of biscuity malt and tropical/citrus hops, with pineapple and grapefruit standing out particularly, as well as lighter notes of papaya and tangerine and just a hint of some grassy dankness. Finishes with a medium bitterness and some dank tropical/citrus notes lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
This is a great, well-balanced DIPA, although a bit too heavy on the pineapple for my personal taste. I really don't think I'm a great fan of the Bru-1 hops. Still, the balance of sweet tropical, zesty citrus and dank notes is still rather nice overall. Recommended if you love pineapple. Also, I just have to say that the name and imagery here is another great social commentary by Wylam. Blood: The Currency of the People.
