Copenhagen 16/6 2021. 44 cl can from Best of Beers web-shop. what looks like a very wet and humid forest floor where things is lush and decaying at the same time.

Pours opaque hazy, golden yellow with a mid-sized white head. Settles as thin patch of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.

Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with tropical fruit. Light touch of fermentation. Citric notes. Caramel, cardboard and biscuits. Mango and pineapple. Grapefruit and lime.

Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lightly tingling texture.

Flavor is intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a strong citric bitterness. Aftertaste is intro, sharp and bitter. Lingering. Finish is dry.

Refreshingly bitter but with a firm malty backbone. Good one.

Pours a hazy, bright orange coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of light biscuity malt and tropical hops, with notes of passion fruit, as well as a distinct, weedy dankness. Taste is an excellent balance of light biscuity malt and fruity, juicy and dank hops, with tropical and lighter stone fruit notes of passion fruit and peach, as well as some weed. Finishes with a light bitterness and some passion fruit and dank accents lingering in the aftertaste. Soft mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: I love Strata hops and they really shine through beautifully here with those bright and juicy, somewhat tangy and musty passion fruit notes, lighter peach and dank weed. Although this is not quite as dank as other single-hopped Strata IPAs I've had, it still makes for a very enjoyable New England IPA that's a bit more focussed on the juicy and quite tangy passion fruit character, which lends a light acidity to this in the finish. Great aroma and mouthfeel to this as well.
