My favorite style, I saved it for last in this establishment. That was an error. Substantially lighter in color and body than the pale ale, it had a nice amber color. There was a 2 finger head that faded very quickly, resulting in no lacing to speak of. The smell was very sweat, not the hops that I was expecting. Not much flavor to speak of either, a very bland offering. While there is a slight tart flavor that hits the front of the mouth, there is nothign that lingers and makes you ask for more.
The IPA should be the big beer offered at a brewpub, the cleanup batter. This was a number 7 or 8 hitter at best. The pale ale and golden were both better, and that is disappointing.
