This beer is a bit of a mystery to me. I've never seen this brew anywhere else besides Buffalo Wild Wings in downtown Youngstown, OH and a couple of other locations in the area. The bartender referred to it as "Penguin Ale" but it is most definitely not and ale. This is a lager, and not a particularly good one at that. It looks, smells, and generally tastes like Miller High Life. I was a bit baffled, so I inquired about the brewery. Several bartenders then assured me that it was brewed by Miller. I have the sneaking suspicion that this is some other macro lager by Miller simply packaged with a cool YSU Penguin logo tap handle in order to create the illusion that the beer has some kind of identity with the school. In any case itÂ’s bad, but it exists so it should be recognized.
