On tap at the brewpub...
Very clear dark orange appearance, tan sugary head of over an inch to start. Looping partial ring lace. Fruity aroma, spiced citrons and pears, a little prickly hop. Low carbonation and a lot of maltiness to start, lots of a spice cake and doughiness, return of fruit as suggested in the aroma and a definitive and balancing hop bittering from mid mouth through the finish. Spicy pear compote sense to the aftertaste. Pretty nice beer, a little heavier than some Maibocks, but one of my favorites from Vine Park to date.
