On tap at the brewpub...
Clear and very dark, lets some amber light through at the bottom of the pint. Creamy latte-like head, about 1/4 of an inch after settling. Coffeee and orangey aroma, slightly astringent. Low carbonation with a lot of java and slight coal tar flavors up front (as much or more than their Irish Stout). Prickly and well-distinct hoppiness. There's a cottony feeling mid mouth that's confusing and slightly cardboard in nature. Not bad, can't rate very high, but it is robust in mouth impression.
