Black, medium bodied, with a smooth creamy taste that reminds you of caramel, coffee, and chocolate! mmmmm good!

On tap at the brewpub...
Black to the bottom with an initially fine-bubbled head that settles to a skim coating in 35 seconds. Light toasty aroma, pretty reserved. Very sweet impression, similar to a dark maple syrup -- re-inforced by moderately full body. Rounds down to a pithy bitterness with some straw-like hop character. Sense of molasses to the aftertaste. I've got a few quibbles with the malt choices on this one, I didn't find it very drinkable for a very drinkable style.
