This IPA is brewed with four varieties of South African hops, and a distinctive malt. At the start, I Had some difficulty with how different it was from the American IPAs I am used to. But by the end, I had adjusted to that, and was enjoying it. It had less hops bitterness and was less floral, but added unusual layers that were distinctly caramel - I assume that coming from the malt and its roasting.
