Pours a light fizzy small head covering, lower retention, touch of lacing, slight hazy dark amber to auburn-brown color

Nose sweet malt extract, syrupy malt thing, hint of toasted malt and honey, caramel, fair fruity esters

Taste more malt up front, biscuity toasted brown malts, a bit of the extract syrupy character, caramel notes, honey crackers, touch of herbal hop bitterness, a bit of fruity notes, drier finish

Mouth is med to a touch lighter bod, med prickly carb

Maybe the most commercial of Cucapa's lineup, but doesn't mean anything bad. Actually it is real good, it worth the try.
Good thing is very common in the whole Mexico.
You can easily drink a 6 pack and ask for more.

Dark brown with an amber tinge, and four fingers If head. It smells of malts, and a little bit of red licorice.

The taste follows the nose. It’s slightly watery, with minimal hops and it’s very malt forward.

Light body.

I got this in Tijuana Mexico, where I drank it on my cross border trip today in Mexico. May 31, 2019.

Poured from 12oz bottle into a typical drinking glass.

Appearance: nice amber-orange hue with a finger of frothy white foam atop. It's a pretty legitimate-looking amber ale.

Smell: kind of sweet and malty but without much other character. Not bad, but not terribly inspiring.

Taste: malty with a little bit of dark fruit character present. It's bready, without being overly biscuity. Hop character is minimal, but there is a little bit of balancing bitterness. I'm not usually an amber guy, but this isn't too bad.

Mouthfeel: medium body with a good level of carbonation and pretty serviceable creaminess.

Overall: I'm still not an amber guy, but this is not a terrible beer.
