One of the first things you notice about our Glacier Select Oktoberfest is the beautiful dark copper-amber color. Next, you enjoy the subtle aroma of Noble German hops. Finally, a complicated but balanced malt and hop mouthfeel.

Purchased a growler of this just yesterday, so it should be fresh and tasty. Poured from a standard 64oz growler into a pint glass in high elevation Kalispell, Mont. Reviewed live.
A- Carbonation didn't carry too well. Half-finger off-white head atop a rick ruby/mahogany body. Very lethargic carbonation in the beer itself, but the color is excellent.
S- Surprisingly chocolaty. Caramel malts with a roasted chocolate backbone. Sweet and roasty.
T- Surprisingly has a bit of a whiskey thing going on. Not alcoholic, but the flavor is slightly woody and the grains seem similar to a nice whiskey.
M- Creamy and a little bit dry, oddly enough.
O- One of the better brews from Glacier. Balanced, roasty and slightly sweet. This will be an enjoyable growler.

this one poured out a lighter amber color with a white head
there was a nice toasty character to it but also a little skunky whiff in it
this beer tasted mostly of toasted malt and a little bit of hop dryness
this beer finished with a med body and a good balance. there is nothing that stands out about this beer but it is a decent beer

Stopped in Polson on our Montana Beer trip, and was lucky enough to sample this at the Glacier Brewing Company Tasting Room. First sample from the tap was good, so had to get a bottle to take home. I actually got two bottles direct from the capping line - now that's fresh.
The color is a rich and dark copper, covered by a tan foam. Smells of hops fill your nose (Noble German hops says the website). Full flavored, a complicated blend of tastes. Perfectly balanced malt and hops, with just a touch of smoke at the end. This is their best seller, and now I know why.
Truly, worthy to be poured all year!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
