.5 litre brown glass bottle. 6.0% ABV.

A: Average off-white head with nice frothiness. Sticks around for ~6 minutes. No lacing adheres to the glass' sides.

Body is a murky nontransparent copper. Seems to have some chill-haze.

Sm: Resins, bready malts, amber malts, pale malts. Hops bring hints of fruit and flowers. Some caramalt hidden in there too.

T: Oddly malt-emphatic for an IPA, with the breadiness and sticky sweetness of the malts easily winning out over the restrained hop profile. Hopwise, there isn't much - some coating resins, vague fruit, floral notes. Meh.

Mf: Sticky, slightly syrupy, oddly thick, medium-bodied, smooth, wet. Overcarbonated and unrefreshing. Pretty middling execution, but not entirely ill-tailored to the taste.

O: Definitely more an English IPA than an American IPA, with an unwelcome malt emphasis and an underwhelming hop taste. I'll enjoy finishing the bottle, but it's not a beer that's mean to be savoured and won't impress even the casual drinker. Mediocre work from Suomenlinnan Panimo, but drinkable and pleasant enough.

50cl bottle (bb 080515) into a tulip. Clear amber color, small head with little lacing. Fresh floral smell with fruity hops, malty when warmer. The taste begins with fresh malty sweetness with fruit on the background, followed by tropic fruit and ending with dry hop bitterness that isn't overwhelming. The freshness of the taste is replaced with malty sweetness as it warms up in the glass. Light mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Good balanced IPA, pleasantly hopped.
