Höpken Pils is a golden yellow lager beer. It's foam is a beautiful white color and it's taste is light and dry. Assertive, spicy hopping provides balanced bitterness and a soft finish. As it's classic role models, Höpken Pils is brewed out of finest pilsner malts. In the year 2018 we're updating this classical beer from 4,2 % ABV to 5,0 % ABV.

Minor head that leaves a couple of larger spots on the glass. The liquid is nearly clear with a faint chill haze. Bright gold color.
Mild aroma primarily off the Pilsner malt. Very light hop nose.
The taste is soft and appealing. Smooth pale malt flavor followed by a flowery hop touch in the swallow. The body and carbonation are spot on for a Pils. The finish is hoppy but as a balancing bite to the malt. All in all, a very fine Pilsner.

On tap.
Creamy white head. Clear straw yellow. Lace left.
Clean, bready malts, earthy/grassy hops. More malty than hoppy. Pilsner malts.
Smooth with a nice feel. This one drinks very quick.

Appearance: Light gold. Pours a foamy one finger head that recedes fairly quickly.
Aroma: Very light, pretty typical pils aromas
Taste: Balanced, good combination of malt and hops, with hints of honey, grass, and citrus.
Mouthfeel: Smooth, light bodied.
Overall: A decent representative of the Czech style pils, but nothing special.

Served a gold amber with a quite small white head. Malty, yet there is also a crisp finish with a very slight touch of the bitter. Easy to drink. A nice pils, but nothing spectacular. It's great to find a brewpub on an island when you don't expect it!
