Poured from the bottle a dark ruby-black with one finger of creamy tan head. Thin sheet of lacing left behind.
Aroma of toffee, vanilla and molasses upfront. Very light notes of coffee and red berries.
Toffee, vanilla, and molasses also head up the taste. Again, a very light coffee presence along with just a hint of red berries and bourbon.
Thinner than expected body and wet with a moderate carbonation.
Hoped for a much more coffee-forward taste and aroma.

Way too thin of a stout in both look and feel.....great nose, but don't get a lot of coffee or the angels envy barrel in the taste. Expected much better....
