A nice mild American stout. I had this beer on tap at Crescent Moon Alehouse in Omaha NE. It was unclear as to the frequency at which this beer is brewed. I asked the bartender but she had little information, only noting that they hadn't offered it recently. When drawn into a pint glass it produced an unpronounced khaki colored head. The suds subsided quickly but did leave nice lacing on the glass. Appearance-wise the beer was exactly as one might hope it would be, a dark chocolate color through which no light could pass. The aroma was not very strong. This ale's flavor starts with a nice roasted malt character, has a slightly alcoholic middle and a clean finish with just a tad of hoppy bitterness. I would definitely have this one again.
