Served on tap at the brewery in a tumbler.
Look: Clear amber golden with a foam cap that lingered long and left finely bubbled lacing.
Nose: Not a lot — a little malt —but that’s not inconsistent with style.
Attack: The malt is there as it should be for this style, but is a bit overwhelmed by the carbonation.
Finish: Just a little bitterness to balance.
Mouthfeel: Fairly thin, as appropriate to style, but too much carbonation.
Overall: This would be quite drinkable — even session poundable — if only the carbonation was reduced.

a good marzen, typical and well within style guidelines, but well made. its clear caramel in color with a short lived white head. autumnal nose of sweet amber malts, light toast, and lager yeast. the flavor is a little sweeter than the nose, all malt here. barely even hops to balance, its straight grain. freshness is beautiful though, and the beer works perfectly for the season. not as clean and dry in the finish as some of these are, a little more drawn out with the toffee sweetness, but still a good session beer. works well with most of the food on their menu too, which is quite good as well.
