Tasted on-tap 11/06/06 at Upstream brewpub in Omaha, NE.
Mahogany in color with a nice beige ringed head that leaves decent lace. Solid malt aroma and flavor. A bit sweet in flavor with no hint of hops. Medium bodied with a light sweet finish.
Not the best balanced Alt but it's not bad...
Per info at UBC: Seasonal. Yeast from Weihenstephen.

I had this on tap two nights in a row on my visit to Omaha. I am not so sure about ABV but it is close. The beer is a dark deep ruby color with a small off white head. It is very clear, the description says it is filtered and uses yeast from Weihenstephan with some Omaha spice. There is more about the asst. brewer that they name the beer after. I think the spice is nutmeg but I can't be sure. A very serious malty nose with a bit of spice (nutmeg) and some clove. The taste is very malty, but not sweet there is a good bit of hop bitterness to knock down the sweetness for the malt. It is a very heavy beer, low carbonation, very filling. I put the drink ability a bit lower because it is so heavy, not a session beer but a very good treat.
