750 ml bottle into a tulip glass. Bottled 8/2021, had 6/30/22. Obtained as a part of FOBAB 2021 to go. This batch is 7.9%
Pours a brownish red, semi opaque, with a half inch foamy head and light foamy lacing. Aromas of cherries, lemon, malt. Smells lightly tart and sour, has a bit of a spicy aroma. Flavors of cherries, malt, some of a cinnamon like flavor. Lightly tart, a little more sour. Acidic in the aftertaste. Mostly smooth, a very good lighter medium body, well carbonated.
Well done overall, if not as much depth of aromas and flavors for the style. Strong cherries. The brief, harsh aftertaste doesn’t seem very Kriek like, though. Still, it was enjoyable.

Foggy candy apple red, or maybe a little darker amber towards the top, with a short white film.
This actually features very classic kriek aromas of very dark char, seedy cherry, cinnamon marzipan, and pie with whip. However, on the palate, it's very sour, actually bit too much.

Had on tap. Pretty light in feel and appearance, but the tart cherries made up for it. Really the cherries lead the charge in every aspect, especially smell, with tart cherries, mixed sweetness with the yeast and wood. Not the most complex, but the flavors are spot on, just wish there was more umph behind this one
