Lightly carb'd with a thin mocha head.
All the smells. Dark fruits, vanilla, oak, a touch of spice. Nice
Flavor is slightly sweet with a spicy rye/alco kick on the finish
Real nice sipper. Is it peaking or past? Don't know only bottle I bought on a trip to Tulsa many moons ago. Would drink/buy more if I could.

Bottle from the brewery... bottle 2 of 228. (bottle 1 is in the cellar) Mike Halls first bottled beer out of upstream after leaving Oscar Blues.

pours a nice dark brown with a tiny ring of carb around the glass. Exactly what is expected.

The nose is utterly fantastic. This may be the best smelling beer I have ever had. Nothing like I have ever smelled before. dark fruits, oak, vanilla, tiny bit of whiskey, and a tinge of orange peel. The girlfriend gets mint and cinnamon, which I cant pick up, but I trust her.

The taste is not as good as the nose implies, but still great.
Nice oakey vanilla mixed brilliantly with the whiskey. The rye adds a nice kick of spice to it. I get orange and coriander on the finish, which is a bit weird... I wish it was a bit thicker, but I'll take what I can get. The 8.5%, despite being whiskey aged is not really present at all. I am always a man of few words, but this is a great beer. Rye Whiskey aging gave this so much more than it had before.
