A white stout on nitro, on tap at the brewery, served in a tulip/pint glass.
Look: Golden, with a 1/2” white head with excellent retention.
Nose: Sweet grain, a bit of floral.
Mouthfeel: Thin for a stout, but creamy, just enough carbonation.
Attack: Follows the nose, plus a hint of vanilla. Sweetness increases as the beer warms.
Finish: Just enough bitterness to balance.
Overall: Very drinkable, certainly a summertime beer. Still, compared to other white stouts I’ve enjoyed, this one seems more of a cross between a stout and a Munich Helles.
