Served on tap at the brewery in a Nonic pint glass.
Look: Very dark brown, with a foam cap that lingered long and left abundant finely-bubbled lacing.
Nose: Nice — dark roast, oatmeal, coffee, chocolate.
Attack: Follows the nose, though not quite as intensely as I might have expected — just a bit thin in taste.
Finish: Bitterness from the dark roast to balance.
Mouthfeel: Medium thick, adequate carbonation, not quite as creamy/smooth as I might expect with the addition of oatmeal.
Overall: Very drinkable, very enjoyable. I’d happily order it again here.
