My fiance filled my growler with this new brew from IBC when she went up to Bloomington to visit some of her old ISU friends.
A - Lemon gold clear brew with a one finger creamy head that drops to a thin cap with a fatter collar. Some creamy lace is left on the glass on the way down.
S - Ricey and adjuncty. I'm not sure that they actually use adjuncts, but it sure smells like it. Smells a lot like PBR (that's not necessarily and insult....I like PBR).
T - Thankfully, this stuff tastes a lot more interesting than it smells. It's a bit sweet initially, before displaying some gritty grainy flavors in the middle, and showing some nice light hop and honey flavors as you swallow.
M - Light bodied and grainy, but grainy in a good way (not like malt liquor graininess). Moderately carbonated with a moderately dry finish. Some metallic flavors show up in the aftertaste.
D - This is a bit mundane for my tastes, but for the style and for those who aren't quite as adventurous with their beer (non-BAs) this is a solid refreshing summer brew that is a nice change from all of the wheat/wit/hefe stuff that every brewery comes out with.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
