Tasted very similar to Celis Grand Cru and that is a witbeir style.

I think listing this beer as a Belgium Strong Pale Ale style is misleading, as it is only 5% alcohol (along with other things).

The appearance is golden brown with a slight haze. Strong citrus smells. The carbonation was a bit flat compared to other beers in this style.

Poured straight from the growler to the bottom of a pint glass, the carbonation only gave me a head of one-finger. Being poured from a growler may have helped contribute to this problem, but the growler had been filled less than 20 minutes before.

No real sweetness. The citrus was more of a hint through the nose than on the taste buds. Body was nice on the tongue but

Overall, a good beer, but not really a great showing compared to other strong Belgium pale ales.

(Served in an American pint glass)

A- This beer has a warm orange colored body that has a nice slight haze and a pure white head.

S- The smell of pale malt is overtaken by a sweet orange blossom flavor and a very faint spiciness.

T- There is some soft pale malt with a slight caramel note. The taste of perfumed oranges is really strong with a hint of pepper in the finish. The orange perfume taste dominates and has a slight chemical quality to it.

M- The beer has a medium-light mouthfeel with no astringency.

D- This is a light crisp beer and although it is not sweet the orange blossom perfume quality really dominates the beer. It is really missing all the qualities that are brought to this style by the proper yeast.
